About
Hi!
I’m Teresa Gregorio, and I design knitwear. Canary Knits is a compendium of my pattern design, general knit-related happiness and the odd crafty endeavour.
I learned to knit from books, way back in the early dawnings of 2002. Enjoying a challenge, I jumped into designing shortly thereafter.
I knew early on that I wanted to share my patterns with the knitting community. You can see some of my work in Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Knotions, Holla Knits, Brave New Knits, Knit Picks, and a number of self-published patterns and collections.
During the daylight hours I work as a museum professional; I devote every other scrap of time to day dreaming, sketching, swatching, fiddling, and otherwise creating knitting patterns. Generally, my design aesthetic tends toward feminine, fun, and unique pieces.
And my writing has a tendency to over-punctuation, the manufacture of words (because hey, English just doesn't always have enough!) and the inability to take itself srsly.
Thanks for visiting my wee blog! I’d love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me.
