Salt and Short and Sweet

In an attempt to copy a friend's fan-booming-tastic salted chocolate chip cookies, I made these suckers.

I stumbled across this recipe on the interwebs.

It was great, but still didn't have the magic of my friend's batch.

I'll have to get the secret from her.

I bet it's love. Secret ingredient is love.

That or more butter.

Ha ha, I think love and butter are interchangeable. At least in my house, we say "I love you" by sticking a platter of baked goods in your face and urging you to eat!

They look very yummy, though! But I guess if everything else goes wrong, you can't fail a batch of chocolate chip cookies when adding just the right amount of love. ;)

I believe the secret is more love AND more butter :)

More butter=Love. Same thing :)

My standard recipe mods: double the vanilla, use vanilla paste instead of extract.

I find it pretty consistently makes me happier with the cookie.

That said, those cookies look absolutely fabulous. Sometimes other people's cookies just taste better for having been made in someone else's kitchen. :)
