Aaaand I'm back from the holidays.
There's more to tell and show, but the first bit I'd like to share is the wee catnip mousie I made for my parent's cat, Dante.
Here you see him in his resplendent feline glory, being very co-operative and posing with his new gift. Being used to photographing flightly canaries, Dante's sleepy, apathetic attitude towards having a camera stuck in his face was both surprising and refreshing for his human photographer.
As this post title suggests, the prezzie didn't really go over so great.
That's ok - there was other, more successful knitting, over the break.

Cute! Oh well, the cats do not always appreciate the extra attention they get, do they?
Love this idea! Just might have to use it :)
I suspect Dante will be mortified when all the other cats get wind of his indifference to catnip- they'll revoke his cat membership! Very cute toy, maybe he'll learn to love it. :)
what a very handsome cat! He also looks like he's seen it all in the catnip mousie category and is very blase about the whole present thing! LOL
Cats are such sourpusses. I bet you Dante plays frantically with his catnip mousie as soon as no one's looking. How could he not? It's such a cute catnip mousie!
Apparently, some cats are genetically immune to the effects of catnip. Maybe Dante has spent his whole life wondering "what's the big deal?" when the other cats talk about 'nip.
eek! that mouse is adorable!
The little mouse is so cute! :)
It might have been the cat nip - believe it or not, my cats are very picky about the brand - some they don't like at all!
It's a cute pic though!
He reminds me of my Linus - such a handsome boy. Not all cats go nuts over catnip, and some are really picky about its presentation. Cats, you know, they want it the way they want it.
