This spring is hopping along. The sun is actually out today, and just yesterday, I saw some rogue tulip and/of daffodil sprouting in my garden. The mess of a winter appears to (almost?!) be over!
To celebrate, I'm holding a few giveaways.
I posted Tuesday about my new podcast and the two giveaways associated with it.
And now today, I have another giveaway for you all!
Thrysos is one of my new patterns, released the other week in Knit Pick's Spring Collection, titled In Bloom. It's a top-down blouse with a simple lace repeat across the yoke. Worked in the round, it includes a wee ruffle at the front, a relaxed fit, and a cute little dip in the back for an extra bit of coverage.
If you'd like a chance to win a pdf copy of Thrysos, just comment on this blog post and let me know what your favourite sweater construction is. Please don't forget to leave me some contact info so I can let you know if you've won!
FYI: Email list members get TWO chances to win! You can join the mailing list over here.
I'll draw and announce the winner on Wednesday, April 16.
Good luck everyone!

Top-down all the way. I like how it enables you to fit the item exactly to you.

I love Asa tricosa's ziggurat method.

I'm really all about top down, contiguous set in sleeves. Especially after knitting a pieced bottom up sweater with color side insets that was too long! I ripped out and reknit 4 sleeve caps and necklines to shorten!
Your sweater is really pretty. I don't knit a lot of sweaters, but I do love how customizable the top-down construction is.
Top-down is my favorite way to knit a sweater...it allows for custom fitting AND EASY FINISHING!! Lynda.franczek@sympatico.ca
Definitely more of a bottom-up fan, but with the body worked in the round. Top-down tends to drive me a little crazy halfway to the body. Heh.
Top down in the round, please.
I wish I knew! I generally knit for the babes in my life and either work for them. I have just cast on two sweaters for me, one top down, one bottom up, so ask me in a year!
Thanks for the chance to win.

Hi, your top is sweat, I haven't noticed it before but I really like it. My favorite construction is sett in sleeves worked at the same time or yoked sweaters with colour work or lace as this one.
Such a sweet top :) My favorite construction is top down ~ there's nothing like try-on-as-you-knit.

Hi there,
What a GORGEOUS top.
As a fairly new-to-the-hobby knitter, I have only knit one sweater to date bottom up with set-in sleeves.
Due to the fact that I loathed the sewing and am quite bad at it also, I do believe that the top-down seamless construction will be something I will massively enjoy and enthusiastically appreciate. This has been the plan for my next knitted top and I cannot wait to start! I like the shape of Thyrsos and believe I will buy it anyway if I do not win this competition. I have a podgy tummy so I love that it isn't completely figure hugging in that area. :)
I have to say my go to sweater construction is top down, maybe because I learned it early on. I have done some bottom up, but I feel I am at home with a top down sweater. And now there is a cap sleeve that you can knit in.
I love your new Thyros pattern, very cute and wearable.
I like top-down in the round and am fine with knitting other sweater constructions.
This is a really beautiful design! I would love to knit one for myself.

Top down for me! Don't like sewing seams....fpaaren@gamil.com
I don't mind seams too much.. but I am just getting into my first top down sweater.. and so far I like it..

I am just starting to make garments and so far have only done seamed. I am working on my first top down now

My favourite construction is top-down, partly because I hate seaming, and because it gives me the chance to try on as I go, and maximise my yarn without risking too much frogging, if I have less than the yardage stated. I am Cassiopia on Ravelry, u2maniac73@yahoo.com
Top-down is my favorite method. I'm not a fan of seams!

I hope it's not too late to enter, this top is too cute! I'd love to work it in a cobalt color
