Jingle Jingle; Or, Sugar Delivery!

Happy December Holidays to Everyone!

This month hasn't brought me my Christmassy weather,1 but my oven has certainly been delivering results.

I've had something of a cookie factory going on here for the past couple weeks, and it'll continue to chug along for a week or so more. This is how I'm accounting for the lack of original knitted-related content.
I thought I'd try a bunch of new-to-me recipes this year - my favourite so far are the "White Chocolate Dream" cookies, a tasty collision of oranges and white chocolate chips. Yummers.

Quick poll: if presented with a cookie that had chocolate-covered coffee beans in it, would you be

a) happy and gobble it up directly!
b) politely accept said cookie but nibble around the coffee beans
c) have a mini tongue-revolt in your mouth at the thought of ingesting such a bitter "treat", and turn down said cookie (with all due formality and politeness, of course.)

I've made me some of them this year; I think they're quite fantastic and a little "sophisticated" (if a cookie can be said to be so). My concern is that many people won't really be a chuffed as I am about it, and my impulse is to warn every cookie-recipient that they may be biting into a coffee bean sometime in their near future.

1Incidentally, if there's any Houston area readers, I'd much appreciate if you'd send your snow this way. I understand this precipitation has lost its way and in a rather unusual move migrated to the southern US.

I would LOVE chocolate-covered coffee bean cookies. There is so much right going on in that cookie I feel like I cannot adequately express it. Granted if giving cookies away I would have a coffee-lovers bag and a non-coffee lovers bag because some people really dislike coffee. Yes I'm shocked by this too.

Answer A: Gobble them right up! And steal the White Dream Cookies while you're not looking. ;)

I have had chocolate covered coffee beans, and while I have no objection from a taste perspective I am simply not used to that much of a caffeine jolt and they make me way too jittery. A warning on that possible effect would be considerate.

I think a warning would be appropriate, just as one would with nuts or anything else that someone may have an aversion to. I personally do not like them and would be disappointed if someone gave me a cookie and didn't tell me.

I answer B! I wouldn't want o hurt the giver's feelings but I totally hate coffee beans.. but no point wasting the delicious cookie around them!

I don't eat coffee beans and it is because of the jolt. I'd probably pick a different cookie.

Mmm, that all looks so amazing!! I'd love it, but I suppose only people who don't like coffee (or children) would be adverse to the coffee beans. It would be the perfect cookie for many a coffee lover, though!

Hmm. I like chocolate-covered coffee beans, but I think I'd find it a bit unsettling to find them in a cookie without warning.

If the southern US is getting snow, then Houston needs to send it Northeast to me in Arkansas! lol
Being a native Ontarian like yourself, I am none too pleased at the thought of Christmas/winter without much snow. It's just not the same!

I'd love chocolate cookies with coffee beans in them! I think a warning would be good though, because some people can have issues with caffine. :)
