Here you see the sample I worked in Knit Picks Shine Sport. |
Work on it in the sunshine, wear it in the warmth!
I can't believe how comfy this piece is. Knitting it was really a joy. It almost designed itself, with its simple, geometric shape. Those straight and easy-to-follow lines in the garment translate into the wonderful drape you see in the finished knit.
Fun fact: I had originally proposed this sweater as a fall/winter piece, but Allyson at Holla Knits made the very smart suggestion of saving it for spring/summer. She was totally right.
Would you like to win a copy of Lady Bat? Just comment on this post, and give me a description of how you'd wear it. Personally, I can't wait to get the sample back in the mail so I can test it out as a bikini coverup.
I'll keep the comments open until Wednesday, April 24, 11:59 pm. Winner will be announced on Thursday, April 25.

Are you kidding me? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern!!!! Especially that...hello...SIDEWAYS knitting. JUST like my life right now! YAY for sideways knitting!
I love this pattern! I would wear it over a tank for those days when it's just a little chilly in the mornings.
I would wear it over a tank or t shirt. Very pretty and clever design!
I added this to my favorites IMMEDIATELY, I love this pattern so much! I would wear it over a tank and very ripply, diaphanous maxi skirt and gladiator sandals... as you can see, I already have my look planned out!
I would wear it at work at the height of summer. It would allow me to wear a tank outdoors and then throw it on over the tank to not show too much skin at the office.
I really want to make this!
I love the shape and the geometric lace pattern.
I would wear it with skinny jeans, a long tank top underneath, and clog booties:)
I love this pattern! I would wear it with a camisole and slacks for work in summer!
I would love to knit it up in something silky, and wear it over a strapless dress! It would look so demure and elegant.
Over a stringy tank top with shorts and gladiator sandals and of course, some big sunglasses. Lady Bat would be the statement piece here!
I'd wear this with shorts and a tank top! I absolutely love it!
Let's see, probably with my new emerald green khakis over a contrasting tank. I have this sportweight cotton that would work well for this sweater!
Love this pattern! I'd wear it over a tank, with shorts, for when it's nice enough out, but all that AC inside makes you freeze to death when shopping.
I live in Colorado where weather changes a lot - would make this out of lightweight wool-cotton blend, and wear all the time over a tee ir bathing suit
Awesome design! Over a tank, for sure! Helps keep the chill off, but not being too heavy about it. Genius!
I would wear it with a warm hat and ski boot, :)
Can hardly wait for spring to actually arrive here in Winnipeg. I love this pattern. The first sample is my favourite!
Oh this is adorable. I love the idea of teaming this up with a nice pair of jeans and a tank top -- and a lovely necklace! I'm picturing a teal color knit. Love it.
I love this design! I would love to wear it as a swimsuit cover up or to spruce up a gym outfit (over some yoga pants and a tank top)
Oh I would love to win this pattern! I would wear it with a tank underneath, jean shorts and some cute sandals or my chucks. :)
Lovely design. I'd wear it over a tank top and jeans in summer, and over a long sleeved T in the winter, when I'm inside. Where I live, a sweater like this would be useful on fall, winter and spring.
You did such a good job!
lovely! i'd throw it on for chilly california evenings over a tank top and skirt.
Great design to put over a tank this summer, love it!
The easy lace/mesh is a perfect summer pattern! I like the turquoise color used in the sample and can easily see it worn with a tank top and a long, flowy skirt or capris.
I'd love to wear this over a cami with a skirt and heels- sexy and comfy at once.
I love the big baggy style of this pattern. I would wear it as in the picture, with a tank under it.
I absolutely love baggy clothes, this one caught my eye immediately. I would wear it as in the picture, with a tank under it. Ooh, so comfortable

Personally, on those days I am feeling my arms are a bit too jiggly, I'd love this for more coverage. Lovely piece.
Beautiful pattern, my challenge is already trying to figure out what color to knit it in :) I like it over the black tank.
Nice
I liked it so much
I will visit here again
