The colours are based on the cute little sparrows that I see every day hopping around campus. (except for the rusty orange, that's just for flair).

Not too much progress yet, but it's so wonderful to knit with I'm sure it won't take me long at all (hehe, at least until I get to the fair isle bit...)
I'm sure this will test my patience, but I WILL conquer this sweater!

You had to do it didn't you?
How could you know that I have been giving myself every reason not to buy yarn or start this sweater? Especially since I got whips up the whazoo!
I think it is going ot be gorgeous. Can't wait to see your progress on it..I may be placing an orer to KP later on today! =)
(BTW love the blog, found you through the SKC I believe)
Thanks so much Melanie! Yes, I'm on the SKC too. No posts yet, unfortunately! Have soooo much stash, so few hands with which to knit it :)
hehe, speaking of which, I suppose I shouldn't complain, considering I just placed an order for the Merino style... for the same sweater...
I love Elegance; I knitted socks with it. (You should reconsider sock knitting; it is lots of fun.)
Ooo, that silkiness on your feet... You know, it never ocurred to me to use Elegance for socks. I have told myself that I should at least *try* sock knitting (and by try I mean actually complete a pair). I want to be able to say "I've turned a heel!"
I LOVE THE STRIPES!!!! Thanks for making my pattern!
