Indie Designer Day

Photobucket
Designer: Meghan
Blog: Involving the Senses
Rav ID: meguerite
Great Design: meguerite's Rav Design Page

Another favourite indie designer with art leanings (she's a conservator! How cool is that?), meguerite has made the world a prettier place by writing this beautiful cardigan pattern.
It's called the Shalom Cardigan, and I love everything about it.
I've been holding out on making one myself, because I want to find the perfect yarn. It has to be something that would do justice to that lovely yoke!
Her blog is also wonderfully diverse; she's been travelling as of late, and has included wonderful photos and content. She somehow also manages to get beautiful knitting done, and post tantalizing photos of foods and amazing sewing projects.
Here's to hoping this very talented (and well travelled!) knitter shares some more beautiful designs with us.

When I saw this on Ravelry the other day I knew I had to knit it. Especially because of the name! I've been learning about the connotations of the word 'shalom' recently and have found it so inspiring.
What else is inspiring: indie designer days. Thanks so much for coming up with this idea because I love love love being exposed to all of these talented people.

Nice Shalom cardi! And thanks for your kind comments on my version of your awesome Corona pattern. :) I enjoyed it a lot.

(And we must have the same taste in DIC, as the first two colorways I bought were Petal Shower and Ruby River, too.)

How funny, I'm knitting it right now. I have some doubts about my modifications and especially the color, but I'm hanging in there because it is such a lovely knit

Yes, Meghan is amazing! I've been following her blog for a few months now and am always inspired by her knits, travel stories, and recipes. Don't you love the yellow vintage number she knit over the summer?

I do in fact love that yellow retro knit she made a wee while ago. She's very good taste!
