What to do with Lamb's Pride that's too scratchy to wear?
Knit a sweater for your teapot.
Yarn: Lamb's Pride Worsted (Onyx, Aubergine and Sunburst Gold)
Pattern: made up on the fly
Wee Bees: taken from Barbara Telford's Bumblebee socks in "Knit Baby Head & Toes!"
These bees are so adorable, I made three extras for no reason. Not sure where they'll live.
Out of curiosity, is there anyone out there who can stand wearing Lamb's Pride Worsted next to your skin? In general I wouldn't classify myself as having a sensitive shell, but aforementioned yarn itches my so much I can never wear my first sweater - the Wings Sweater.

Niiice tea cozy. It fully covers the spout and everything!
Lovely tea cosy!!! :) And i love those little bees.
As for the Lamb's Pride, I have a top in it and I have to wear something underneath.
I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I really do. I'll either have to figure it out or beg, and threaten you into making another one...)
Thanks all!
Playing with the LP's, I think I might be able to wear it in mitten form... it might still scratch the wrists, though.
steph: beg you will not have to do! Exchange is always fun :D
Lovely tea cozy. The bees are such a nice addition!
I came across this cozy on ravelry when I was looking for someone else doing Henley Perfected in Peruvian Silk, and it is SO cute. Please let me know if you decide to write up the pattern, even general guidelines.
Thanks again.
As for pattern guidelines, all I can really remember/suggest is:
I started at the bottom, with 6 sts on dpns. Increased into every st (I think) until it was as wide as the bottom of the pot.
Then I started the bee stripes, and increased a bit for the fat pot belly. And of course, left a hole for the handle and did a gusset for the spout!
At the top I just did a row of YOs for the ribbon (which is just a crocheted chain). Add the cute bees (under someone else's copyright - not my own) and voila! You have a bee-themed cozy. :)
