Just a quick one...
Pattern: Santa Hat from Handknit Holidays
Yarn: Lion Brand Thick and Quick in deep garnetty red and cream
Things I fudged: Quite a few. I cast on something like 60 stitches. I used yarn that was not on gauge (as per my usual MO). Since I wasn't on gauge, I had to get creative with the decreases. In the end, I have a santa hat that's a wee bit big, even for my noggin.
I've had this book for over a year and a half now, and this is the first FO I have from it. I'm quite pleased.

Um, T look a little happier with the Santa Hat on... It's Christmas!!! I like the colors... kinda Victorian-- which is your style. Where will you wear it? Thursday?
Jingle bells, jingle bells.....it'll definitely keep your head warm in the current Christmass-y weather!
Hmm, public is not the place I was thinking of wearing this puppy. More along the lines of christmas eve/day. And possibly one drunken night.
Oh yes, victorian. I dig that. Just needs a sprig of holly.
