I shall give thanks that I was successful in my avoidance of mass familial poisoning.
My first Thanksgiving feast has gone off, hitchlessly.
Thanksgiving crackers. I wore my crown through all turkey-eating and potato-gobbling.
Pumpkins in oven.
Pumpkins in pie.
Apples in buns.
And now, back to the regularly scheduled blogging.

Oh, what lovely apples in buns!! recipe? please?
and Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks!
For unraveling sophia, here is the recipe for the apple buns:
Bun wrapping:
2 cups flour
4 tsps baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup (a bit less is better) milk
mix dry ingredients, then add shortening and work into dry ingredients until it's a "coarse meal".
add milk, and knead until all mixed.
roll out on floured surface until as thin as you want it (i had it about 1/4 inch thick)
then i just cut squares and laid them into muffin tins. After that, I spooned the apple mixture into the dough.
Apple mixture:
I just made this one up, folks.
Keep in mind, I don't measure as I go along. I'm mad that way.
Cut and peeled apples
honey
brown sugar
margarine or butter
cinnamon
mix 'em up to your taste. spoon into dough.
Bake all for about 15 minutes, or until beginning to brown. go for longer if you want crispier.
Bake at 425 F.
:)
YUM!
I heart the mini sweater. It looks great on you!
It's either I'm completly blind or you didn't include a link to the pattern. :P What pattern did you use?
The mini sweater was a mod of Grumperina's Picovoli.
I just didn't do it in the round, and added the lace pattern throughout.
I also added the holes to weave the ribbon through, but that's very simple.
Thanks for looking! Too bad you don't have a blog for me to check out!
WOW! Honestly, I have no idea how you can get Picovoli to "that cute shortie." :D It's beautiful. All the things you knit are great.
Ah..I wish I had a blog of my own too. I have to check on my parents though. (I'm still in my teen years.)
Happy Knitting!
Thanks so much, Knittingcat! You can mod the Picovoli pattern quite easily. I hope you try it :)
