Personally Designed FOs
Well, here they are. Some of my latest FOs. The rather odd looking top is what I'd like to call a "ponchette" that developed because of a rather stubborn gauge mistake that I made while attempting to make the Bonita Shirt from Summer's Interweave Knits. I cast on WAAAY too many stitches, and before you know it, I'd put in hours of work on an extremely large top. Being stubborn again, I didn't want to frog it all, so I trudged on and made the "ponchette". It has no real practical purpose - no purpose at all, other than the fact that I learned a super cool cast-on that I'm very impressed with! (provisional, check the mag. It's great!)
Also the cowl, I want to eventually make a cowl-necked sweater, so that was some testing going on there.
It was made with (I think 4) skeins of Paton's Grace Cotton, which is very soft and smooth and great to work with.
This second FO is a hot-water bottle cozy that I made many months ago. It's just some Red Heart. I learned some great design/gauge skills with this one. I ended up making one for my grandma too - she saw mine and decided she wanted one as well.

Thanks :) I just made up the hot water bottle pattern. I wanted to see if gauge really, REALLY did work, so I decided to learn on that. Just made a tiny gauge swatch and calculated for the cozy. It was fun and quick to knit! I still have the pattern, if you'd like me to post it or send it to you :)
